The Goal: Continuing our warm-up with 4 more exercises

The best way to start rocking out some progressions is to get started. As a versatile pianist, you want to be able to play in as many styles as possible. In this example we will be playing a common progression that shows up often in a Pop/Rock style.

To keep from making the chords to ‘static’, we will play add left hand octaves on beats 4 of every measure. This ensures a nice flow when singing along to any song.
