The Goal: Learning to read music notation and to play on the Grand Staff

Treble ClefThis has got to be one of the most exciting lessons so far because now we get to learn how to read the language of music: Music Notation. The same way we have to learn how to read our native tongue, music also has a written language that needs to be learned.

Once we get comfortable with this new system of notation, any piece of music is within our reach. The possibilities are truly endless.

The Musical Staff

Music is written on lines and spaces called a Staff.

Notes are written on the 5 Lines and the 4 Spaces

We can also place notes above and below the staff.
