Piano Sweets – Chopin Dark Chocolate

Chopin chocolate

A Sweet Surprise

Who doesn’t like chocolate? The answer to that question need not be answered. The truth is that just about everyone I have ever met loves chocolate. That is why I was so pleasantly surprised last night when my friends gave me this Frederic Chopin dark chocolate. I had never seen a theme of composers put onto a line of sweets. They also share some pics from the place they got it from and they even had Mozart cakes! Now that is original.

This isn’t the first time that I get to enjoy a musical treat. The first time I saw Amadeus, the scene where Salieri shows Mozart’s wife all the treats jumped out at me. There were so many delicious looking treats that I made it a point to hunt a few of them down. It was on a trip to Argentina many years ago, that I was able to find a few of them. I don’t recall the taste being as good as I had anticipated but the satisfaction of being able to find those sweets was great. I have also seen a cake that is shaped like a piano that I would love to get for one of my birthdays.

A Pianist’s Composer

Part of the reason this was such a nice surprise is that Chopin is my favorite composer. Whether or not this chocolate is comparable to his music is debatable, but it’s still a neat little homage nonetheless. For those that don’t know much about Chopin, he remains one of the greatest composers of piano music of all time. His music. which include Waltzes, Preludes, Nocturnes and Concertos are extremely rewarding to play as they are challenging.

If you have never ventured into learning a piece by Chopin. I urge you to do so very soon, you will not be disappointed. As to whether you should try this chocolate, I will certainly give you my honest review soon enough.

Do you know of any musical treats that we should know about?

A great night to everyone and happy playing!
