Expressing the Inexpressible

05/27/2012 9:38 am

The day brings with it random moments of rain as the sun waits to interject his thoughts every so often. A perfect Sunday if I may say so and more importantly another day we are privileged enough to experience.

I saw this quote by Aldous Huxley and loved it. I had read his book Brave New World when I was younger and knew that this man was quite a visionary of the reality that was to come and our present time is confirmation of his accuracy. Expressing ourselves is not always easy but as we look around, with smart phones, social networking and increased communication, we realize that as humans, there is a need to communicate with each other.

What is your main form of communication?

Me, as a musician love to use music to say a lot of the things I need to say but I noticed as the years went by that the simple pleasure of an intense one on one conversation, laced with moments of comfortable silence, this too was a beautiful way of communicating. I know we live in a time with a lot of noise around us and the big question is, “how do you quiet the noise to be heard?”

Not an easy thing to do, but well worth it.

A beautiful rainy Sunday to everyone
~Adrian

P.S. Following this topic of communication, I am happy to announce we are launching a Forum here on the site so we could all post music questions and help one another while at the same time getting to know each other in a fun way. Go introduce your big bad self: Click here for Forum
