Days come and go, seasons change and perhaps even the landscape of our neighborhood changes mostly unnoticed over the years but the biggest change occurs in us. When I think of the most memorable days of my life, I realize that they are not marked by any external factor that the world would deem important. Yes, there are instances where we all, as a people, experience some event together, yet most of biggest moments happen when the world is looking elsewhere.

The reason I bring this up today is simply because I have noticed, both in my life and in the life of others that we tend to wait for life to surprise us with good moments, excitement and the wonders that live in our memory for a lifetime. I am not so sure this is a very good plan. Waiting passively tends to produce only mediocre results. As children, many memories are created, both good and bad, due to our intensity, fearlessness and just plain naivete.

Now as adults, we have the benefit of some learned wisdom that we can add to a deliberate search and creation of new memorable moments.

Don’t wait….do. It makes all the difference.
much memorable love
